Rumors have spread far and wide about the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) stock piling ammo driving up costs for consumers and emptying shelves at local gun stores. First District Congressmen Doug LaMalfa says he is looking into the huge buys to be in the billions of rounds of ammo.
Rep. Doug LaMalfa, stated in a Fox News interview that he and fourteen other Congressman wrote to the Department of Homeland Security for answers because Americans deserve an explanation for what is a highly unusual situation.
LaMalfa the Social Security Administration is getting almost 200,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition.
LaMalfa also said that the DHS has acknowledged his letter, and that he is now waiting for the agency to process an official response.
