Still Time to Enter PARC Scholarship Contest

Protect American River Canyons (PARC) is excited to announce 2 of the judges of the upcoming 2013 High School essay contest.

Auburn SRA Sector Superintendent Mike Lynch and “Nature Noir” author Jordan Fisher-Smith will be on the panel of essay judges.

Jordan Fisher-Smith literally wrote the book on the American River and its canyons. This year’s essay topic is- What do the American River and its canyons mean to me and my community, and what should be done to protect them for future generations?

Fisher-Smith says he is glad to see students writing and expressing themselves.
