Distracted Driving Likely Cause in Easter Accident

More information is coming out about the driver involved in the accident that took out a power pole near Lake of the Pines in Southern Nevada County.

Distracted driving is the likely cause of a Easter morning accident, knocking out power to 1700 PG&E customers. Dena Hernandez public information officer for the Grass Valley CHP says speed and alcohol have been ruled out.

The driver of the 2000 Dodge pick-up was identified as Jessica Bennett age 28 of Grass Valley. She and her passenger were sent by ground ambulance to Sutter Auburn Faith hospital with complaints of pain. No other injuries were reported.
