Salvation Army Truck Fire

People in the area said it sounded like a bomb went off behind the Salvation Army on Lincoln Way in Auburn. The Auburn Fire Duty Chief reported it appeared that someone set fire to a plastic garbage bag filled with clothes between the tires and trailer of one of the large trucks the Salvation Army uses to collect donations in the back parking lot.

As the Salvation Army store is directly across from the Fire Department, fast response and quick action limited the damage from the fire and the damaged material was off loaded from the truck.
