Come join the Tahoe National Forest on Friday, May10th for a short walk to learn more about native plants and butterflies.
The walk is provided to call attention to the importance of native plants, butterflies and native bees in providing important services for food production and ecosystem health. Naturalist and butterfly expert Greg Kareofelas and Forest Service botanist Kathy Van Zuuk will be guiding the walk in the Bunker Hill area.
Save the date, Friday, May 10, the meeting is at 9:00 a.m. at the Nevada City Forest Service Office to car pool to Foresthill, or meet at the American River Ranger District Office in Foresthill at 10:30 to carpool to the Bunker Hill area. The walk will last until 1:30 p.m.
This event is limited to the first 25 people who sign up. Open to all age groups, no dogs please.
