A Suspicious Device Dug Up in Folsom

Just after noon Tuesday, a resident reported finding a suspicious device while digging in their yard to improve some landscaping near the intersection of Goodell Road and Livermore Way in the city of Folsom. Folsom Fire and Police responded, and called the Sacramento Sheriff’s Department Explosive Ordinance Detail (EOD) to determine if the device posed any threat. Folsom Police Officer Andrew Bates says after careful examination, the device was determined to contain no explosive.

 The device was removed by EOD and evacuated residents were returned to their homes.
