Auburn’s Big O Tire Store Closes

Big O Tire in Auburn rolled down the garage doors for the last time just before 5 o’clock Tuesday. Owner Dan Luper announced the closing of his business of 20-years in a facebook post. It reads:

“To my loyal customers and friends, it is with a heavy heart that I announce that effective today (Tuesday may 7th) I have decided to close my Big O Tire store here in Auburn ! The most difficult decision I have ever had to make ! But with the struggling economy, tax increases, and fees that come with owning a franchise I was unable to endure these tough economic times any longer. This community has been so supportive during my over 20 yrs in this company ! Should you need any sales or service you can contact the Big O Store in Roseville. I am going to take a little time off and ponder what the lord has in mind for me. Thanks and blessings to all !”

Luper says he has been thinking this decision over for months, his employees were kept informed and have found new positions.

So sorry to hear this. Dan is so supportive of Auburn. Hate to see another small business go under anyplace, especially in Auburn.
