Temperatures will be back up I the 90s this weekend and folks will be headed out to our rivers, streams and lakes to cool off. Auburn State Recreation Area, Supervising Ranger Scott Liske, cautions people to be safe as the current is swift and the water is cold.
Ranger Liske says a personal floatation device is the best safety bet on the water.
The flows on the American river change not only from the runoff from heavy flows in spring to lighter flows in the summer but also water released above our dams, changes conditions not only day-to-day but throughout the day as those flows come into our area.
