Gold Country Preschool Visits KAHI

The adorable students at Gold Country Preschool, along with teachers and parents, came for a tour of KAHI. The children were so well-behaved (the parents were too!!) They learned briefly how radio transmits from the studio to a tower to the listeners. They saw Studio A, where the hosts broadcast live. They listened to KAHI on an old transistor radio, a boom box, online on a laptop, on an emergency crank-up radio, and on the KAHI app on my smart phone. They learned that commercials are how radio stations make money. Finally they went into Studio B where they recorded a 10-second liner. You can listen to it here:
