Wrong Way Driver on I-80 in Gold Run Area

Gold Run CHP received several calls about a wrong way driver on Interstate 80 westbound in the eastbound lanes east of Drum Forebay at a high rate of speed early Friday morning. The wrong way vehicle driven by 53-year old April Bradreau of Placer County collided head on into an oncoming truck and tractor combination. Bradreau needed to be extricated from her Nissan Ultima and was life flighted to the nearest trauma center for chest injuries. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured. Interstate 80 east bound lanes was closed for about 2 hours to complete the investigation and clear the lanes.
