An Auburn woman had a frightful start to her day after she lost control of the car she was driving. The woman, who would only give her first name as Wendy, was left standing along Interstate 80 west bound shortly before noon Thursday as Auburn police investigated the accident and a tow truck pulled the car off the embankment where it came to rest. Wendy said she was borrowing a friend’s car and it was equipped with handicapped accessories for the owner.
There were no injuries but the onramp to Elm Ave off I-80 westbound was congested while the vehicle was removed.
