As the city of Auburn loses one mural, that of the railroad scene on the side of the building known as the Dancing Dog at 1101 high street, which will be demolished this fall, the city approved another mural at Monday night’s city council meeting. This one will be on the Cleveland Ave in the Historic District of the city. Local Artist Louis Buchetto appealed the Planning commission’s denial of his proposed mural siting changes made in the art to tone down some of the brighter colors to reduce glare. The Council allowed the appeal and approved the project. Buchetto had mixed emotions following the decision.
Bushetto has not set a schedule to begin the mural but is working on some fundraising. If you would like to know more about Louis Bushetto’s art go to www.LouisBuchetto.com.
