Funding the Bud Anderson Monument

The Auburn City council was very supportive with moving forward with the bud Anderson Monument to be placed at the air port to Honor the World War 2 flying ace who was born and raised and has retired here in Placer county, but the council was not comfortable with spending money already allocated to other projects without letters of approval for those monies, naming taking funds from the airport enterprise fund. Councilmen Mike Holmes assured the council that all the players were on board and the funding is coming together.

Once a letter from the airport enterprise fund holders is received it is believed the council will accept the funds needed to complete the project. The motion will be back on a future agenda for the council. The Auburn City Council met in council chambers Monday evening in the Civic Center at 1225 Lincoln Way in Auburn.
