The deceased girl who stopped breathing at a summer camp in El Dorado County has been identified as Natalie Giorgi. The cause of death was determined to be severe laryngeal edema due to presumed anaphylactic reaction.
On Friday July 26th at 10:40 PM, El Dorado County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Camp Sacramento to assist paramedics with a 13 year girl who had stopped breathing. Paramedics were performing CPR on the girl as Deputies arrived to assist with coordinating a landing zone for a Care Flight helicopter dispatched from Reno. The girl was transported via ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead at approximately 12:30 AM.
