Council Takes Bus Tour to Scout Sites for Homeless Shelter

The city of Auburn is hosting a bus tour around the city to search for potential homeless shelter locations.

The Auburn City council is currently considering zoning and site alternatives as it considers code amendments necessary to comply with State requirements for the zoning of emergency homeless shelters.

In order to be better understand appropriate options within the city, the Auburn City Council will conduct a bus tour of the City This evening (Monday evening  July 29th). The bus will leave from the City Hall parking lot located at 1225 Lincoln Way by 6:45 pm and is anticipated to return to City Hall by 8:45pm.

Seating will be based on first come first serve basis. Those not wishing or able to participate in the entire tour are encouraged to follow in their own vehicles.
