$255 Thousand Dollar Bail for Repeat Offender

Resisting, delaying, and obstructing an officer led to an Auburn man’s arrest.

On Monday night shortly after 11 p.m., Auburn police officers were dispatched to the CVS pharmacy located on Elm Avenue for a report that a male subject, later identified as 33 year old Kevin Stovall Jr., stole merchandise from the store. Auburn Police Detective Sergeant Dale Hutchins says Stoval ran from Officers.

Stovall was arrested for robbery as well resisting, delaying, or obstructing an officer. Stovall was booked into the Placer County Jail and his bail was set at 255,000 dollars. Auburn Police Detective Sergeant Dale Hutchins explains that Mr. Stovall has a prior arrest record that led to the high bail amount for the criminal charges.

             APD Felony arrest 

The investigation indicated that Stovall stole less than twenty five dollars worth of merchandise from the store and was confronted by an employee. Stovall then threatened the employee and walked away.
