APD Makes Arrest in Identity Theft Case

An arrest has been made by the Auburn police Department stemming from a Burglary and Identity Theft case from January of 2012. Detective Sgt Dale Hutchins says an unknown female went into a local check cashing business to cash bad checks.

At the onset of the investigation, Detective McLaughlin was not able to immediately identify the female suspect. With the assistance of the California Department of Justice, Detective McLaughlin was able to identify the female suspect as 31 year old Emily Cosentino.

Detective McLaughlin located Cosentino in the 2600 block of Ensenada Way, Sacramento, and arrested her for violations of Burglary and Identity Theft.

Detective McLaughlin booked Cosentino into the Placer County Jail as charged for Burglary and Identity Theft.
