The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Department conducted the evacuations and closed Greenwood Road to the public for resources to get to the fire. No injuries were reported. Berlant said crews jumped on the fire quickly, limiting spread. The fire was contained over night and crews were mopping up on Sunday. No cause has been established, the fire is still under investigation. The fire was held at 38 acres and is 100% contained.
