APOA Lawsuit V. City Of Auburn Dropped

The Auburn Police officers association (APOA) has dropped its law suit with the city of Auburn. This news comes on the heels of news that the City of Auburn has approved a new contract with the Auburn Police Department Officers union after more than a year of negotiations.

The City Manager removed the resolution on Monday night’s city council agenda sighting a delay on the part of the APOA’s attorney to complete the Memoranda of Understanding.

In a Joint Statement of the City of Auburn and Auburn Police Officers Association regarding Settlement of Auburn Police Officers Association vs. the City of Auburn Third District Court of Appeal, “The APOA and the City of Auburn have resolved the matter before the Court of Appeals without court intervention.  Neither party admits fault in the dispute, but the City and the APOA have agreed upon hearing procedures for future grievances”.
