The Auburn City council meeting was short and sweet with the agenda addressed in under a half hour. The council resolved to adopt the Memorandum of Understanding between the Auburn police Officers and Association and the City of Auburn for the period of July 1, 2012 thru June 30th of 2014.
The 2nd reading of the new street naming ordinance was approved unanimously by the council. The ordinance provides an approved list of suggested name that reflect the history of Auburn in future street names.
Under committee reports, councilmen Mike Holmes gave an update on the statue of Bud Anderson proposed for the Air port. Councilmen Holmes says funding for the project is growing.
The Auburn city council met Monday evening in council chambers inside City hall at 1225 Lincoln way in auburn.
