Sandy Escabar is the Executive Director of women of Worth, a non-profit organization to assist women to escape domestic violence and become independent. Sandy has been working to open help women and women with children and has with the help of a legion of volunteers and dedicated board of director opened 2 shelter homes and a re-shop to raise funds for the shelters. After 12-years of this work, Sandy has been recognized by the national magazine Traditional home of one of the 5 Classic Woman of the year. Sandy says when she got the call she didn’t believe it.
The magazine flew her out for a photo shoot and video recording and then hosted Sandy and the other 4 woman for a week in New York. Sandy says they lavished her with gifts for her but also gave her items she can sell to raise funds and provided her a wealth of information to grow her non-profit to serve more woman in the community. Sandy says it is all about the mission.
