Man in Red Pick-Up Seen Harrassing Children

Nevada County parents are being warned of another abduction scare in Nevada County. Superintendent Susan Barry sent out a letter to parents alerting them to an incident on Sunday September 29th where a child from Grass Valley was approached by an individual driving a red pickup truck. The individual asked the child to help him find his puppy.

The Nevada county Sheriff’s Office sent out a news release with a description of the suspect. The suspect was reported to be driving an older model red Chevrolet long bed pickup truck with a white stripe and faded paint. The suspect was described as a white male adult with a goatee, possibly in his 30’s or 40’s.

Captain Andrew Pettit with the Nevada County Sheriff’s Office says they want parents to sit down with your school age children and talk about the dangers.
