Roommate Argument Leads to Murder

The names of those involved in the fatal shooting in Roseville on Monday afternoon have been identified.

The victim in yesterday’s fatal shooting in the 100 block of Birch Street was 54-year-old Kevin William Spindler of Roseville.

His roommate, Joseph Arthur Nunn, age 48, was arrested at the scene and is being held in the Placer County Jail without bail on suspicion of murder.

Roseville Police are investigating the fatally shooting on Hickory Street. An argument between roommates escalated into a fatal shooting on Hickory Street Monday.  At 3:15 p.m. Roseville Police Department officers responded to calls of shots fired at a home in the 100 block of Hickory Street.  When officers arrived, they found Spindler down in the front yard of the home with gunshot wounds.  Roseville Fire Department paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene. Nunn was taken into custody at the scene without incident.  Officers determined that an argument between the roommates escalated, until the suspect shot the victim with a handgun.

Officers and crime scene investigators are continuing their work at the scene.
