State Theater’s Tear Down The Wall Celebration Saturday

The “Tear Down the Wall” Campaign is being celebrated at an event scheduled for Saturday, October 5.

The event is a Step Back in Time to 1930’s era Hollywood! There will be indoor and outdoor performances with a performance by the Placer Theater Ballet, and members of the Auburn Symphony, the Placer Community Theater, Placer Theatre Ballet, Belly Dancers, and a Fortune Teller and the Tarot Card Reader. Food and beverages will be made for this event by local restaurateurs, wineries, breweries and the agricultural community.

This work will include removing the center wall that currently divides the theater, increasing seating capacity from its current 130 seats to 275 seats, reopening and upgrading the original proscenium and stage, rebuilding the green room beneath the stage, and making (ADA) improvements to a restroom and stage access with an estimated cost $300,000.

To donate or learn more contact Janis Wikoff, Executive Director at 530-885-0156.
