Auburn Council Member Receives Recognition

Auburn Council Member Mike Holmes Completed the 2nd Level of the Mayors and Council Members Academy.

The League of California Cities, the organization that has provided premiere education to California city officials for 115 years, announces that Auburn Council Member Mike Holmes has achieved the Advanced Leadership Level in the Mayors and Council Members Department’s Leadership Academy. Council Member Holmes explains what this means to the city in making sure the city’s voice is heard in state legislation.

Holmes served on the League’s Transportation, Communications and Public Works Policy Committee. He is also active within the League’s Sacramento Valley Division.. The voluntary program consists of three levels: Leadership, Advanced Leadership and Leadership in Action. The individual level requirements include a combination of service on city council combined with participation with the League of California Cities.

Council Member Holmes was recognized for his achievement during the Sept. 23 Auburn City Council meeting where he received a certificate and a special pin.
