Veterans Day Monday, November 11, at 10:45AM, come rain or shine, Auburn will be poised to honor all service men and women with the greatest Veterans Day Parade and Commemoration Event of this century. Community members are invited to join in the celebration.
This year’s Parade theme is “Honoring Our Veterans”. Our parade Grand Marshall, posthumous, is SPC Nicholas Burley, US Army who was killed in action this year while serving in Afghanistan.
The parade will begin at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce located at 601 Lincoln Way. Veterans unable to walk the parade route are encouraged to join us in the parade. Cynthia Haynes Event Chair says the Auburn Jeep club would be happy to give them a ride.
Call Roberta McGuinn, Parade Director at 530-885-3731 for further instructions and to reserve your seat. Haynes says a special commemorative medal will be handed out to all Veterans in the parade at the luncheon in addition to other festivities planned.
If you are a veteran or you know a Veteran join this year’s parade.
