Trick or treaters will be out in force on Thursday in all the usual areas and these areas are also high traffic areas. The Auburn Police Department encourages parents to remind their ghosts and goblins of some of the real scares that come with Halloween. Lt. Victor Pecoraro tries to cover a few of the points you should cover with your kids regarding using cross walks.

There is nothing like a glow stick or reflective tape to make your child seen while out after dark.

The Lt also reminds you to make sure the costumes fit, the Lt says they have seen a number of accidents where kids are running and trip over their loose fitting costumes causing minor injuries. The Lt also cautions anyone to not enter a home or car of anyone they do not know.

Halloween is Thursday and many local businesses are offering treats during normal business hours in old town and downtown Auburn just look for the Halloween themed paper plate I the window for participating businesses including KAHI Radio on Lincoln Way.
