Roseville Shooting Suspect in Custody

An ICE Agent was shot in the leg and 5 other Officers were hospitalized after 32 year old Roseville resident Sammy Duran allegedly barricaded himself in a home with a young family and shot at officers through a window. 4 of the officers and the ICE agent have been released from the hospital. One of the Officers was said to be in serious condition and remains in the hospital.

According to the City of Roseville Duran barricaded himself in a home near 6th St and Hampton. Duran was on phone with the Roseville Police Department negotiators for several hours.

The incident began around 3pm Friday and as the hours past the City opened a shelter at the Maidu Community Center for those who could not reach there homes or cars that are inside the perimeter set up by Law Enforcement.

Around 10:30 pm Friday Duran was taken into custody and transporter to a local hospital as a precaution and later booked into the Placer County Jail on charges including violation of Parole and attempted murder.
