Friday, November 22 through Sunday, November 24 – Placer County Discovers “Gold” Growing on Trees at the Annual Mountain Mandarin Festival
The annual Mountain Mandarin Festival will celebrate 20 years. Enjoy a Mandarin Recipe cooking contest, professional chef demonstrations, food, artisan crafts, a Peel & Eat contest, live music, and entertainment. The Festival is held at the Gold Country Fairgrounds in Auburn. More than 200 vendors of quality gift items sell Mandarin scented lotions, soaps, and candles, along with artisan-crafted jewelry, home accessories, and holiday items. Hop aboard the solar-powered green train for a guided tour of the event. Buy your bags of mandarins early and leave them at the Boy Scouts check station for delivery to your car. Hours: Friday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday admission is $3. Saturday/Sunday Admission: $7; Seniors $5; Age 12 and under free.
