Texting Threats Lands Auburn Man in Jail

Texting threats landed an Auburn man in Jail this week.

A local woman and her sister received some threatening texts from Brain McGuire of Auburn. The 22-year old victim had a restraining order from McGuire and they went to Auburn Police Department to ask for help. Det. Sgt Dale Hutchins explains that on November 17th, Officer Chris Forman was able to get a warrant to arrest a potential suspect.

The messages contained threats of violence towards the victim and her family. Brian MCGUIRE was arrested for two Felonies and one Misdemeanor charge.

Brian MCGUIRE is currently in-custody at the placer County Jail on $200,000 bail.
