15 NID customers on the South Yuba Canal are getting irrigation water trucked to their locations after a large tree knocked down in the heavy winds on Nov 22nd, crushed the wooden flumes that carry water in the Cascade, Snow Mountain, Cement Hill, Red Hill, Willow Valley, and Upper Grass Valley areas.
Crews are working around the clock to restore water according to Chip Close with NID who says canal recovery time varies according to your location on the canal.
Treated water has been uninterrupted it is only the irrigation water that is not flowing. Preliminary dates from PG&E for water restoration is December 21st.
