CHP says Alcohol Abuse was the cause of a crash December 1at approximately 1:55 PM, when 35 year old Amber Easley of Napa, was traveling northbound on You Bet Road north of Rollins Lake Road at approximately 25 mph when Officer Chris Nave with the Gold Run CHP Office says she rounded the curve of the roadway while driving in a reckless manner.
The involved vehicle came to rest on its wheels facing the opposite direction approximately 20 feet over the dirt embankment. The driver sustained moderate injuries consisting of a pain to her neck, back and leg injuries. Passenger 37 year old Karol Backman of Colfax sustained injuries consisting of head, neck and back pain. Rescue personnel from the Cal-fire and AMR Ambulance arrived shortly thereafter and rendered medical attention to the involved parties. Ms. Easley was airlifted to the Sutter Roseville Memorial Medical Center by a CHP Air Unit. Alcohol was determined to be a contributing factor as to the cause of this traffic collision.
