The Placer County Water Agency is already talking drought in 2014 and is anticipating new water grab attempts by the state to take ground water from the foothills and Sierra to send to southern California. Josh Alpine the 5th district representative to the board and the 2014 chairman says these are just a few of the priorities PCWA is watching closely in 2014.
Alpine says the state’s plan to keep southern California water flowing puts our water reserves at risk.
Placer County Water Agency encompasses the entire 1,500-square-mile boundary of Placer County ranging from the rim of the Sacramento Valley on the west to the Sierra Nevada and Lake Tahoe on the east.
