CHP I-80 Traffic Collision Update

A 5 car collision has turned even more tragic with the news of the death of  9 month old Raiden Steven Saechao (Sack-o)The CHP Auburn Area was contacted by UC Davis Medical Center and were advised that 9 month old Saechao succumbed to his injuries, December 22, due to injuries sustained in the collision on December 17th. 

The traffic collision investigation is still ongoing and the CHP Auburn Area is continuing to ask the public to assist with any witnesses who may have observed the December 17th collision.  The time of the collision was at approximately 8:11 am and involved five vehicles on westbound I-80, just east of SR-65.  If there are any witnesses to this collision that can provide information, please do not hesitate to contact the Auburn Area CHP office at (916) 663-3344, MondayFriday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
