Brandon Vetter is a 2000 graduate of Placer High School who went on to become a documentary film producer in Los Angeles. Vetter came back to his home town to screen his documentary called La Source which chronicles the journey of a Janitor at Harvard University who wants to bring clean water to his tiny village in Haiti. The students at Harvard learn of his quest and they raise the money and make his dream come true. Vetter says while he was home in Auburn he started talking to his friends and family about the movie and idea was born.
Vetter says a well costs only $55 hundred. The rest of the money went to another well in another village. Vetter returned to Auburn Friday the 27th to present a completion report to the city of Auburn’s Haitian well supporters.
Auburn Mayor Bridgette Powers was at the ceremony.
