Explosive Device Found in El Dorado County

“It should have gone off, but didn’t” that is what Lt. Tim Becker with the El Dorado Sheriff’s office had to say regarding a suspicious device found outside the doors of the probation office in Shingle Springs Monday morning.

At 7:00 AM Monday the suspicious device was reported at the El Dorado County Probation Department in Shingle Springs. A section of pipe (approximately 8″ X 1.5″) that was capped on both ends was observed on the ground in front of the main entrance to the facility. The object appeared to have been hastily dropped by unknown individuals. No injuries or property damage was reported.
