Bob Richardson Tenders Resignation as Auburn City Manager

“This is probably one of the most difficult personal decisions I have ever made”.  That is the beginning of the letter of resignation from City Manager Bob Richardson to the Auburn City Council dated Jan 6, 2014. Richardson continues: ” have nothing but good feelings and memories about Auburn.  I have enjoyed my time here immensely both personally and professionally.  This is a special town with special people”. In an exclusive interview with KAHI Radio Richardson says he is ready for a new challenge.

Richardson added “The town of Auburn has seen a very high level of success over the years, primarily because of the dedication and work of the City Council.  It is a fairly rare thing to find so many Council members and enthusiastic community members willing to put their community before their own interests – and for that, more than any other reason, Auburn has achieved what it has.”

Richardson says his last day is February 6, and the city of Grass Valley states his start date as February 10.
