Auburn’s Plan for Interim City Manager

The departure of City Manager Bob Richardson to Grass Valley leaves the city Auburn scrambling to find a replacement but Auburn Mayor Bridgette Powers, appearing on Time for Seniors on AM 950 KAHI Thursday afternoon, shared information from a closed session meeting held Wednesday evening where the council decided to contact the League of California Cities to look for a potential interim City Manager.

Mayor Powers says the city is grateful to have had Richardson for 11 years but understands his desire to find a new challenge and believes a new city manager will bring new ideas to take Auburn to the next level.

Mayor Powers said that they do not believe they will find an interim City Manager before Richardson’s departure on February 6th.
