Fire Danger High

The lack of rain not only means less water in our reservoirs and snow on our mountains it also means increased fire danger. Daniel Berlant with Cal-fire says they did a test of fire danger on Thursday and the results were similar to summer conditions.

Berlant says Cal-Fire has already responded to over 150 wildfires this year.

And seasonal firefighters are being hired to keep up with the threat.

Berlant says we all have to be safe with any spark or fire threat outside our homes including BBQs and burn piles many counties have cancelled permitted burn days so check with your local department.
