A grass fire burned over 100 acres in Roseville Wednesday afternoon. Cal-Fire public information officer Daniel Berlant says the quick spread had nothing to do with wind but just lack of any measurable water content.
Berlant says the fire is believed has been ignited by equipment use I the area.
Berlant says they want residents to maintain a defensible space around their homes but encourages you do this in the early morning hours before winds pick up and it heats up I the day, even in January.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
