Auburn City Council Selects Ramirez as Interim City Manager

The City of Auburn has selected an interim City Manager.  Councilman Mike Holmes said the council interviewed several candidates.

The interviews were conducted on January 21st and 22nd. Ramirez is schedule to start February 11th. His contract includes $73 dollars an hour in compensation. As a retired annuitant Ramirez receives no other compensation and his contract provides a budget saving to the city. Councilman Holmes says the city is in the process of recruitment for a permanent replacement for City Manager Bob Richardson who took the City Manager position with Grass Valley.

The employment agreement between the city and Ramirez was approved at Monday night’s Auburn city council meeting during the regular council meeting in council chambers at 1225 Lincoln Way in Auburn.
