Traffic Safety in Inclement Weather

In the storm that dropped several inches of rain in lower elevations 2 weeks ago, a tragedy took place on Interstate 80 in the Truckee area where snow covered road ways became treacherous. A woman had spun out in the snow and crashed her green Lexus into a tree. The woman got out of her car and was standing at the rear of her car when a second vehicle, a black Lexus, for unknown reasons, hit the woman and crashed into her car resulting in fatal injuries to the woman. Gold Run CHP Officer Chris Nave encourages drivers to be safe on the highways in inclement weather.
