SAR Training in Auburn SRA Saturday

More than 370 search and rescue team members from around the state were in the American River Canyon near Auburn for a mountain rescue team testing on Saturday, March 1. Lt. Kevin Borden with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office says Search and Rescue members must certify each year in one of 3 disciplines.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office Mountain Rescue Team, which is one of many specialized teams of the Sheriff’s Search and Rescue operations, is hosting the California Region Mountain Rescue Association (CRMRA) 2014 Reaccreditation. see the YouTube Video at:

    Hi,

    I was one of the lost hiker victims yesterday for the Mountain Rescue Team. You all did a great job with the news article thanks for coming out in the rain to put this together.
