In closed session the Auburn City Council agreed to direct council to write a letter to Placer County demanding that the County perform an Environmental impact report as part of the Costco lease agreement. Auburn City Attorney Michael G. Colantuono says the law is clear.
Colantuono drafted the letter Monday night with the intention of emailing the County with the city’s concerns prior to the Placer County Board of Supervisor’s meeting Tuesday morning. The Placer County Board of Supervisors will review key financial terms Tuesday for a prospective ground lease agreement with Costco Wholesale Corp. The Board of Supervisor’s meeting begins at 9am in the County Administrative Center at 175 Fulweiler Ave. in Auburn.
