Celebrate the Completion of Auburn – Foresthill Bridge

You’re invited to attend a celebration for the completion of the Auburn – Foresthill Bridge Seismic Retrofit and Paint Project. Placer County and partner agencies will commemorate the renewal of this bridge – California’s highest bridge at 730 feet above the American River.

The seismic retrofit and painting project is a renewal for the iconic span. This bridge is the gateway to the western slope of the Sierra Nevada. As a vital tourism and recreational asset for our region, it represents opportunities for economic growth. The retrofitted bridge has upgraded safety and maintenance features that will allow motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists to enjoy for years to come.

Walk the deck of the bridge and participate in guided tours of the catwalk (due to safety concerns, small children are not permitted on the catwalk). this Wednesday April 16th from 10:00–10:30 a.m. enjoy Refreshments & a Display Viewing. From 10:30–11:00 a.m. Speaker Program and from 11:15–11:45 a.m. Public Tours will be offered.
