cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the United States; more than asthma, cystic fibrosis, diabetes, and pediatric AIDS combined. In the past 30 years, only one new cancer drug has been approved for pediatric cancer. This is just some of the the information that inspired Horn.

Proceeds collected along the journey will be donated to the Four Diamond Fund at the Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Along the journey, Horn will be visiting a series of Medical Centers and Children’s hospitals to spread awareness. After only 10 days Horn says he is meeting a variety of people.

Horn began his trek April 5th and expects the trip to last 7 months.  Horn says he is going to be compiling pictures, videos, and a journal documenting all of the people, towns, cities, hospitals, and support centers that he comes across. Every person he meets and every hospital he visits is going to learn about the efforts of Coast 2 Coast and the Four Diamonds Fund. At the completion of the trip in September of 2014 which is pediatric cancer awareness month, Horn will be arriving on the east coast in Atlantic City, NJ, where we will hold a celebration commemorating the completion of the journey.
