Rocklin Man Suspected of Illegally Videotaping Women

A Rocklin man suspected of illegally videotaping women in public and in his home was arrested by Placer County Sheriff’s detectives last night.

Peter Terrance Nelson, 41, was arrested at his home for possession of child pornography. The Roseville Police Department began investigating Nelson in October, 2013, which later led to his arrest for videotaping under women’s dresses in Costco. Sheriff’s detectives conducted a search of Nelson’s residence on April 15, and two computers were seized. After conducting a forensic evaluation of those computers it was determined that Nelson had hidden cameras in his residence and had filmed numerous females showering and using the bathroom.

Detectives are now trying to identify all of the women in the videos that date back to 2007. The videos are from Nelson’s residence in Elk Grove and Rocklin. There is also information that leads detectives to believe he had placed cameras in a bathroom at his former place of employment and in portable bathrooms at sporting events.

Nelson’s bail was set at $1 million and he remains in custody at the Placer County Jail this morning.

Placer County Sheriff detectives are asking anyone who was a guest at Nelson’s residence in Elk Grove or Rocklin between 2007 and present to contact Detective Hudson at 530-889-7800.
