Placer County Jail in need of Reading Material for Inmates

The soon-to-open South Placer County Jail is in need of recreational reading material for inmates.

Paperback books are now being accepted to serve as reading material for the entire jail population. Especially popular books include westerns, science fiction and mysteries.

Hardback books and periodicals cannot be accepted (including magazines, Readers’ Digest, etc.) Romance novels and books containing violence also cannot be accepted.

Books may be dropped off at the jail lobby, 11801 Go For Broke Road, Roseville, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. The new jail is located next to the Bill Santucci Justice Center, which is located at 10810 Justice Center Drive. For further information about donations, please call Elisa at (916) 409-8130.
