Wise Fire Burns 3 Acres

With temps in the 90s and conditions mid summer dry, smoke in the air and air tankers can be a scary sight. That is what many residents saw Thursday morning from the Wise Fire that burned more than 3 acres of brush near Wise roads and Baxter grade in Placer cCunty Thursday morning. Crews were faced with difficult access due to the steep terrain. Cal-Fire Information officer Lynn Tolmachoff (Toll-ma-choff) says they halted forward progress about an hour after arrival.
