Barn Fire Threatens Several North Auburn Structures and Sparks Second Blaze

A fire that began in a barn in the North Auburn area off Lorenson Road threatened several other structures and sparked a 2nd fire off Cramer road to the north west.

The first incident happened around 2pm. Daniel Berlant, Public Information Officer for Cal-Fire, says quick response kept the fire to 5 acres.

Winds provided an added threat.

Berlant says many other structures were threatened.

A 2nd fire off Cramer Road was contained at a 1/2 acre and is believed have been ignited by a spark from the Lorenson fire. No additional structure were damaged, no injuries reported. The cause of the barn fire is still under investigation.
